Recognition at Scottish Green Energy Awards 2008

4th December, 2008

A successful night for ASH at this years Scottish Green Energy Awards...

ASH's Jennifer Skrynka with Neil Lannen and Mike Seaton from SSE

This year's Scottish Green Energy Awards, held at Edinburgh's Assembly Rooms, was a particularly enjoyable night of celebrations for the ASH team.

Glendoe hydroelectric scheme picked up Best Renewable Project 2008, which followed an announcement earlier in the day that both Chaorach hydroelectric and Black Rock hydroelectric schemes had received Section 36 consent by the Scottish Ministers.

About the project

ASH's Jennifer Skrynka has worked on the Glendoe project for Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) from the outset, taking it through Scoping and preliminary design in 2002, and co-ordinating EIA inputs including preparation of the Environmental Statement in 2003. ASH has been retained by SSE to monitor the environmental aspects of the 100MW project during construction, which commenced in Autumn 2005 and is due for completion in 2009.
