Landscape design at Alness
ASH designed two 4 metre high signs cut from Caithness stone to mark the entrance to the business park. A lake was built close to the front of the site, with a fountain visible to passing motorists on the A9. Planting included ornamental shrubs and specimen trees around the new lake and development sites, and extensive areas of native oak, ash, birch and scots pine.
The completed scheme is based around a central avenue of Norway Maples which provides access to the Alness Point business park development plots. A new wall built of locally quarried stone defines the front of the site and forms sweeping curves at the entrance from the A9 into the business park.
