Heythrop Park Planning & Design Strategy
Proposals for conservation and development of Heythrop Park included:
- Conversion of the original Waterhouse building to a five-star hotel
- Extension of an existing nine-hole golf course to a top quality eighteen-hole facility
ASH has undertaken a thorough historic review of Heythrop Park, utilising guidelines agreed with English Heritage, of what has emerged as one of the most significant designed landscapes in the UK.
Historic and landscape sensitivity of key parts of the estate have been established and the findings used to assist the golf course architect to plan and detail the extended and enhanced layout whilst realising the potential for conservation and substantial restoration of the historic landscape.
