The ASH team coordinates and contributes to the environmental impact assessment of strategies and projects ranging from renewable energy and infrastructure projects to specific developments such as housing schemes and landmark developments. The rigorous approach adopted ensures that we are able to present expert evidence at public inquiry when required.
ASH Environmental Impact Assessment Services
ASH specialist team of in-house landscape architects follow a multidisciplinary approach to undertake landscape character assessment (LCA), landscape and visual impact assessment (LVIA) and cumulative landscape and visual impact assessment (CLVIA).
ASH also undertake land use, recreation, socio-economic assessments and planning policy reviews using in-house environmental consultants as well as providing advice on mitigation and input to the project design. The process of LVIA includes digitally modelling the Zone of Theoretical Visibility (ZTV) of the proposed development and preparing both artists impressions and photo-realistic photomontages to illustrate proposals, all of which are undertaken by the ASH in-house graphic design team.
Where expertise from other professionals for environmental impact assessment on topics such as archaeology, ecology, soils, water, noise and transport is required, we draw on a network of approved sub-consultants and co-ordinate and manage their inputs into the EIA process to provide fully integrated innovative assessments.
