What we did

ASH was appointed in 2012 by Savills on behalf of AG Renewables to carry out landscape and visual impact assessment and cumulative landscape and visual impact assessment of the proposals. The study area includes an AONB and the designed landscape at Longleat.

Having agreed viewpoint locations with the planning authority, site survey work included the taking of photographs from these locations from which to construct photomontages.

In addition, some photomontages were prepared on behalf of the cultural heritage consultants including two joint viewpoints from Alfreds' Tower and Cranmore Tower.

Further work included the attendance by ASH at three local public exhibitions and attendance at the planning inquiry as a landscape and visual expert witness in September 2015. The appeal was overturned on cultural heritage grounds.
