We have considerable experience in the landscape and seascape assessments of marine and coastal developments throughout the UK
ASH has been involved in marine and coastal developments for the past four decades both in the UK and abroad. These have varied from landscape and seascape assessments for aquaculture sites in Scotland, feasibility studies for resort developments in Malta and Gozo, major water frontage redevelopments in Liverpool, Manchester and Dundee, through to quayside business parks and residential developments in Grangemouth and Liverpool. We have also played a lead role in the award-winning marine and coastal scheme at Belfast Harbour, for which we carried out environmental impact assessment and masterplanning.
Landscape and Seascape Assessment
Our experience of landscape and seascape assessments has included advising clients on the siting of saltwater and freshwater finfish and shellfish sites in sensitive locations. We have worked for both private developers seeking feasibility and landscape / seascape assessments of particular sites, as well as public bodies whereby we have been commissioned to carry out more strategic studies into the capacity of an area to accommodate such development.
